The Contracts tab draws itself two ways. With contracts, you got a list and a
“+ New Contract” link above it. With none, you got “No contracts found” and
nothing else.
So the create link went missing in exactly the case that needed it. To add a
contact’s first contract you had to leave the record, open the Contracts
section, make the contract there, pick the contact by hand, and come back.
What you may notice
Open a contact or a company with no contracts yet. The Contracts tab now shows
a “+ New Contract” link under the empty message. It opens the same contract
form the existing link opens.
What this doesn’t change
The form still starts blank. It does not carry over the contact or company you
were standing on, so you select that on the form as before. Pre-filling it is
tracked separately.
