What Changed
Until now, a lead’s Connect account stayed on the site of whichever agent
originally invited them, even after the lead was reassigned. New-listing
alerts kept going out branded and signed by the old agent, and the lead’s
saved homes and home-value reports lived only on the old site.
Now, when a lead is reassigned:
- If the new agent has Connect (through the team’s Connect plan or their
own Connect seat), the lead’s Connect account is moved onto the new agent’s
site: saved searches (alerts, cadence, and match history), home-value
reports, favorited listings, CMA reports sent to them, and their sign-in.
The next alert arrives from the new agent, and its links sign the lead in
on the new agent’s site. - If the new agent does not have Connect, nothing moves. The account stays
on the original agent’s site exactly as it was. It is never dropped or
detached from the lead.
Good to know
- The move happens in the background a moment after the reassignment.
- If the new agent has Connect but hasn’t finished Connect setup (for example,
no MLS license on their site yet), the account also stays put until they do. - Login links in emails that were already sent still point at the previous
agent’s site. Clicking one signs the lead in on the new agent’s site instead,
as long as the account actually moved. - Reviews left on the previous agent’s site stay there — they are feedback
about that agent, not part of the lead’s account.
